Bold statement

A bold plan by landscape designer Andrea Ruddock-West used huge oak arches in this small London garden. Their architectural dominance and severity are tempered by the soft lines of the sweeping brick path which divides the planting areas and provides wonderful movement in a restricted space. The urn fountain rilling into the pond is a soothing sound backdrop in this setting which is at the same time audacious, tranquil and exotic.
