This dynamic design optimises the available space at the sunny rear of the house, using the full width of the garden. The thrusting lines of the hardwood deck make a sharp contrast to the softer planting and informal stepped paving of the main garden. Again here space is achieved by keeping the planting to the sides at height, thereby giving volume to the central area.
